Morgan, mulling over the information, added, “Is that what the Mayan 2012 prophecy was all about? They referred to 2012 as an awakening to a New Time …………..is that ‘time’ the same as the ‘coming times’?”
“They have much in common,” replied Myttrwn, “but before venturing down that road, I’d like to address Andrew’s earlier question as to what causes the Great Year.”
“The earth’s solar system revolves in a twenty-four thousand year cycle around a companion star. Your astronomers are beginning to suspect there is a dark dwarf star possessing no real luminosity of its own. As your solar system circles this star, the electromagnetic field of the star causes subtle changes in human consciousness; in the descending twelve thousand years, mankind loses elements of its consciousness, knowledge and awareness and regains it again in the ascending twelve thousand years. As mankind’s consciousness changes, so do civilizations and human development.”
“So, if I am reading this holographic image correctly,” observed Bryce, “in 1700 CE our earth emerged from this Dark Age which you are calling the Kali Yuga. Is that correct?”
“Yes, the ascending Kali Yuga, occurred between 500 CE to 1700 CE. Since 1700, you have been in a transition period, from the Kali Yuga to the Dwapara Yuga,” replied Myttrwn.
“I am assuming that your planet is further along this ascending arc so what would be the viewpoint of your people towards us?” asked Dylan trying to anticipate what to expect. “Do we appear primitive…….. barbaric……. dim-witted or what……?”
“Dylan, our students learn about the Great Year of every planet and what features to expect when we travel to these planets or when their people visit us. Their feelings towards you may be cautious as they may expect you to be more emotional or unpredictable.”
Looking around, Dylan responded, “Well, that’s good to know, although I’m not sure how we can ameliorate their concerns.”
Vette, following the discussion, spoke up, “In summary, what you are saying is that the ‘coming times’ is the earth’s entrance into the Dwapara Yuga following this three hundred year transition.”
“Yes, Vette, that is the answer to Wolfram’s question but we have more to discuss on this matter. At this time perhaps we should take a break. When we return we’ll focus on the two Yugas closest to your time; the Kali and the Dwapara.” And with another verbal command the holographic images disappeared.
Unknown to them, while they were deep in conversation, carts of food had arrived and two long tables set up for lunch. Drapes were pulled back to reveal an inner courtyard like the ones in the House of Learning. Fresh air and sunlight burst into the room.
As they headed for the food, Vette whispered to Angi, “This journey is an ever-ending kaleidoscope of wonder. While my understanding of our world keeps getting reprogrammed, I can’t wait to hear more.”
“Vette, if the flight of the medallion is any sign, my upcoming training sessions should be mind boggling. This still hasn’t improved my apprehension over this medallion.”
During lunch, the air bristled with chatter as members shared their views about the session, most steering clear of their thoughts on Myttrwn. Once the meal was over, Sirona signaled Myttrwn was ready and everyone returned to their seats. In anticipation, they waited as Myttrwn magically recreated their holographic teaching tool.
Without hesitation, he began. “Let’s discuss the Kali Yuga, descending from 701 BCE to 499 CE, and ascending from 500 CE to 1700 CE. During that time all world cultures deteriorated, losing much of their previous knowledge, including the knowledge of most cycles. At its lowest point, mankind was living a life of ignorance as few could read or write. The written word was preserved by a small number of individuals and occasionally some religious organizations, if at all. The destruction of knowledge was rampant. From about 330 BCE onward, different conquering armies or groups destroyed the libraries of the Persians, Chinese, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Druids, South American Indians, Europeans, and many others. This does not include the losses due to fire, floods or other disasters. The loss diminished humanity’s knowledge of its past as well as its future. It was a time of conquest and subjugation by force.”
“I expect the lives of its people were fairly crude?” asked Angi.
“Indeed, Angi, life was hard and pleasures were sensory such as eating, drinking and sex. Disease, misfortune and famine were commonplace. Slaves were treated as property and human sacrifice existed. Healing, if available at all, was mainly for the elite and even at the time of the Greeks, pretty much materialistic and physical, many people not living long enough to care. It is only when humanity moved away from the Kali Yuga that your lifespan began to approach one hundred years and human stature began to change from about five feet to six feet and more. Have you noticed, your children are getting taller? During these Dark Ages religious understanding was rigid, materialistic and ritualistic. Rival religions were abhorred, attacked and adherents forced to convert or be slain.”
“Well that hasn’t changed, we’re still fighting religious wars,” replied Bryce. “Just look at the chaos in the Middle East and elsewhere.”
“That’s an important point Bryce, as it indicates that even after three centuries humanity is still dragging along a lot of Kali Yuga baggage which eventually needs to be jettisoned.” Myttrwn stopped at this point before moving on. Now let’s look at the Dwapara Yuga.
“Since September 1699 CE, humanity has been in the Dwapara Yuga. As the light increased and the consciousness of humanity improved, there has been a growing feeling of the unity of people, energy and nature. In this Yuga the life span, and the intellectual and spiritual powers of mankind have been advancing. By the end of this Yuga at 4100 CE your life span may reach two hundred and your children will be even taller.”
The height of humanity’s future children reminded the team of the students back at the House of Learning.
Morgan thought to himself, “Is that what was meant by giants in the old texts? Were these the remnant of the descending Dwarapa Yuga?”
Myttrwn continued, “The changes in this ascending Dwapara Yuga will be amazing. Knowledge will rapidly expand, and instant communications and space travel will become realities. In this energy age, mankind will understand matter as different rates of vibrational energy, atoms as points of scintillating light, and that there are no physical structures at all, the reality you think you know is an illusion.”
This prompted Morgan to add, “Wasn’t that what Einstein said, a world class scientist on Earth of the last century? I think it went something like, ‘Reality is merely an illusion albeit a persistent one.’”
“That was indeed a Dwapara Yuga wise man,” replied Myttrwn. “This shift in consciousness means that people will be seeking greater meaning in their lives, more empowerment and have a desire to improve the world.”
“How will learning and healing change?” asked Angi.
“Learning and healing will become more individualistic and healing will focus on making the individual healthy. As it existed during the descending Dwapara Yuga, healing through rays, colour, and sound will return along with the use of anti-gravity, sunlight, and magnetic fields. Spiritual practices will allow the individual to have direct experience of higher consciousness, and control his or her inner energies. The unity of all religions will become a reality.”
“I’m pleased the Dwapara Yuga seems to hold much promise, but are there any negatives?” asked Andrew.
“In the short term, there could be increased world conflicts, pollution, famine and cataclysms. You have already had a lot of that in the past three centuries. In addition, change may come so quickly it may threaten conventional and historical facets of life, something you are already experiencing. However, your current technology has reached a point of overload with serious security issues. The over emphasis on material and technological gadgets and the need for endless stimuli is reducing the meaning and purpose of many lives. These will have to be
addressed.”
Wolfram, pondering the Yuga information, asked, “If what you have been saying is true, then why is there so little evidence of this glorious past? The current academic theory is that we’ve progressed in a straight line from a primitive state to modern man.”
“Ah, I was waiting for that question. The evidence is there but unrecognizable.”
“Is that because we have either ignored it or we don’t understand it?” asked Morgan.
“A bit of both, Morgan,” said Myttrwn. “Most people prefer to stick to the reality they know, and are not interested in cyclical repeating patterns. In addition, how does a world like yours identify with small communities of spiritually enlightened individuals living simply on the earth? Or how do you study a culture which regards the society greater than the individual, and where individuals are measured by their degree of enlightenment? Your scientific community lacks a spiritual understanding of life so their left-brain thinking cannot translate a right-brain style of symbolic communication from the past.”
“Fair enough, but do you have any examples?” asked Wolfram.
Myttrwn knew they were struggling and obliged. “There are many, but to name a few; the Irish round towers or the multi-layered pagodas in the Far East were originally designed to collect and channel electromagnetic waves to serve as energy conductors. Their purpose was to help plants grow and make people feel better. Other legends and myths in your world refer to ‘singing to the stones’, a practice whereby sound vibrations were employed to move gigantic stones by alternating the effects of gravity. In addition, certain metals and crystals were used to focus energy, which was the reason why kings and queens sat or meditated on thrones made of precious metals and inlaid gemstones. In the Amazon basin there still exists an Indian Black Earth or Terra Preta do Indio, a self-renewing soil which grows several crops each year and never needs fertilizer. You are also familiar with ancient huge stone buildings and structures, canals and underground water systems which cannot be copied or explained. And, of course, this medallion which Angi wears. I could go on but these will suffice.”
“Myttrwn, we are aware of other ancient anomalies but the reasons remained a mystery until know,” said Andrew. “I wonder if you might explain another phenomenon to us, does everyone on your planet have the ability to perform magic?”
“Andrew, magic was a way of life in the descending Dwapara Yuga, and it will return in the ascending Dwapara Yuga. Unfortunately, as the Kali Yuga progressed, magicians resorted to black magic and tricks which resulted in magic being branded by religious organizations as idolatrous, evil and demonic. You live in a magical world designed for your spiritual growth. Each one of you has the ability to become a magician……….you are already moving in that direction.”
The team looked at each other in dismay, but said nothing.
As Myttrwn and Sirona rose to end the session, Myttrwn added, “Tomorrow we’ll meet again. Angi, Sirona will set up a time for the three of us to begin your medallion training. Corb here will escort you back to your abode. In time you will know your own way.” And they were gone.
The team gathered to follow Corb, his seven foot stature and white uniform, an easy beacon.

The House of Learning & Plaza
From the House of Learning second level balcony, Zolar silently watched Corb lead the group of twelve across the plaza. A potted bush partially camouflaged his presence. The plaza was expansive and their progress slow as they stopped periodically to chat. Only an occasional word drifted towards Zolar for him to ascertain what they were talking about. Students scurried around them as they rushed to their next classes.
Zolar was as tall as Sirona, a man approaching middle age, who had taken eons to advance through the ranks to his elevated position as Head of the House of Learning with a position on the Council of Elders. His attire was a simple white suit with a blue vest, the only ornament being a golden serpent badge with a pearl backing designating his membership on the Council. Just like Myttrwn he had a matching gold serpent ring on his left middle finger. His physical appearance of a sallow complexion, brown piercing eyes, heavy eyebrows and graying hair hanging to his neck gave him a somber appearance.
Zolar was struggling with conflicting thoughts about his guests. He had voiced his objection to their arrival several times, his words still etched in his memory. “Our standing policy is to restrict visitors from any planet until they had distanced themselves from their Kali Yuga,” he declared to the Council members. “The fundamental reasons are well known. Most carry too much negative and aggressive baggage which hampers their relationships with more advanced societies. In addition, their unpredictability and emotionalism create too many unwanted problems.” Zolar, a stickler for rules, was respected for his defense of the principles which governed their kingdom. As a member of the Council of Elders he had the right to voice his opinion whether or not it agreed with that of the Queen. This was such an occasion.
As he continued his observation, he recalled his most recent comments at the Council with regard to the medallion, “We need to wait until Gaia has moved further into its Dwapara Yuga. That has been our policy. Why change now?” But the Council didn’t agree with him. He then remembered with anguish the final outcome of the discussions. Since the medallion was created on Earth and had miraculously survived over two thousand years through wars, disasters and vast movements of people, it belonged there. Sirona and Myttrwn would be directed to manage the project. Zolar continued in his thoughts, “I had no argument with the medallion’s miraculous survival. It was the necessity of inviting the earthlings to Tir na nOg with which I disagreed. Why now? Why twelve?” Not having more power on the Council weighed heavily on Zolar. Centuries ago his once powerful family had lost much of its status due to a freak intergalactic event leaving him the sole member in a powerful position within the kingdom.
Zolar continued with his thoughts as he struggled with the issue, “Myttrwn began talking about this cursed medallion the moment Sirona made contact with the people of Gaia. He informed us that the medallion was created by a handful of Sacred Science practitioners in Egypt at the end of Gaia’s descending Dwapara Yuga. While we all were sympathetic with the reasons for creating the medallion, descending Dwapara Yuga technology was still far too sophisticated for the people of Gaia at their present stage of evolution. And, as far as I was concerned, no amount of training would compensate for this huge gap in enlightenment and knowledge, whatever Myttrwn and Sirona said. I argued that Sirona could just as easily have maneuvered this woman on Gaia to open the Serpent’s Gate from their side and have it closed from ours. But this idea was also rejected.”
Assessing the group from Gaia as they moved across the plaza he lamented, “Can anything positive come out of this exchange? They have nothing to teach us and our ways and technology are too advanced for them to understand.” Looking at Angi he went on, “There she is, the recipient of the medallion. She’s a puzzle. Surely it was her DNA which qualified her to wear that magnificent medallion. It’s a miracle her genetic material wasn’t totally contaminated after centuries on Gaia when humanity’s life span decreased. Was it fate or careful genetic manipulation? From what little I know, arranged marriages did occur on Earth but mainly with the elite and restricted to certain societies and groups. There’s no indication she is connected to any royal line. And yet, she does have some of the features of our own women; the white blond hair, green eyes and she is the tallest of the females in her group. Could the genetic pattern remain so strong with the mixing of cultures?”
For a few moments he watched as Angi laughed with her colleagues. He was perplexed. Part of him wanted to know her more and the other part wanted to reject her outright. Bending towards rejection he continued his assessment, “Without Sirona’s help and Myttrwn’s mentoring that young woman might have killed herself and others in her amateurish handling of the medallion. I am uneasy with her having such power. The ramifications are enormous.” Th
en a thought entered his mind, “But maybe……….just maybe, there’s another possibility. Could she be just the courier of this medallion and someone in our kingdom will take charge of it? That would make sense. But who? May be I could argue that it would be prudent for us to retain this technology for Gaia until Gaia was at a more enlightened stage. That strategy would be in full agreement with our laws. I’ll bring this up at the next Council meeting.” Feeling that the issue might have a practical solution, he relaxed and turned his attention to the rest of the team.
“Wolfram, is the tallest of the males in the group. Rumor has it that he was injured somehow and healed by Angi. I wonder if it was a serious injury.”
“The red-haired one, Morgan, seems more emotional and sensitive than Wolfram. Yet, the others seem to respect his historical knowledge of their planet.”
“Vette, is like the jumping Goro which lives in our desert. She’s wiry, perpetually alert and ready to pounce.”
“As for the two elders, Andrew and Bryce, they have maturity of age and are familiar with being in charge. They indicate there are other older members of their group back on Gaia. It would be interesting to compare these elders with our own.”
Then his focus turned to the six individuals who kept looking around while concentrating on the conversation. “Imagine bringing your own security team to an alien planet when they must have known we were more advanced. May be they had no idea what to expect. Anyway, their inquisitiveness must be watched.”
He remained behind the potted bush until the group entered the House of Learning.
With the remote possibility that the medallion might be stored in Tir na nOg for Gaia’s use in the future, Zolar’s apprehension had been temporarily allayed. Yet, he had little assurance his idea would be accepted by the Council. Restless, he also knew his next steps had to be carefully measured as his thoughts shifted to another matter before leaving the balcony, “So far, my credentials and pedigree have passed all tests for being a proper suitor for Sirona. I must not jeopardize that.”
